Frequently Asked Questions

Which types of therapy are used?

Depending on the request for help, I choose the method(s) I work with. This is often a combination of different forms of treatment: see methods used.

Is the therapy reimbursed?

Whether the therapy is reimbursed depends on the chosen form and on your insurance package. Usually a part is reimbursed from the supplementary insurance.

On you can find an overview of the reimbursements per health insurer.

Do you need a referral from your GP?

I don’t need a referral from the gp. For some health insurers, however, it is best to inquire about it.

How many sessions are needed?

Of course, it depends on how many sessions are needed, but on average about 10-12 sessions are needed. In the case of EMDR, there are often slightly less.

How do I know if you are the right therapist for me, for us?

You never do that for sure, but it’s important that you feel comfortable with the first conversation and feel like it’s ‘clicking’. This is also one of the goals of the first call, to see if it clicks. Trusting your therapist is an important condition for the success of therapy.
